This week, Shawn Mendes scores his first ARIA #1 album while A$AP Rocky, Xavier Rudd and Chvrches all release new stuff too.

This week's album chartifacts:

#1: Shawn Mendes ‘Shawn Mendes’ (Debut) – Canadian singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes scores his first #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart with his self-titled third album. The follow-up to 'Illuminate' (#3 October ’16) is Mendes’ second Top Ten entry on the chart.
#5: A$AP Rocky ‘Testing’ (Debut) – Returning with 'Testing', his third studio album, American rapper A$AP Rocky grabs his third entry in the ARIA Top Ten. The album includes appearances by FKA Twigs, Kid Cudi, Dev Hynes, Skepta, Frank Ocean and more. The track ‘Praise The Lord (Da Shine)’ has debuted at #34 on this week’s Singles Chart. Testing equals previous album 'At. Long. Last. A$AP' (#5 June ’15) as A$AP Rocky’s highest chart peak.
#6: Xavier Rudd ‘Storm Boy’ (Debut) – With his ninth studio album, Australian singer-songwriter Xavier Rudd takes out a sixth straight Top Ten. Storm Boy comes just over three years on from Nanna (#8 March ’15). To date, Rudd’s highest Albums Chart peak has been with 'Spirit Bird' (#2 June ’12).
#7: Chvrches ‘Love Is Dead’ (Debut) – Scottish synth-pop trio Chvrches return with third album, 'Love Is Dead'. Following 'Every Open Eye' (#3 October ’15), it becomes the group’s second Top Ten album. One track, ‘My Enemy’, features vocals by Matt Berninger from The National.

This week's single chartifacts:

#1: 5 Seconds Of Summer ‘Youngblood’ – Sydney’s 5 Seconds Of Summer hold #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart for a second consecutive week with ‘Youngblood’. It becomes the group’s longest run in the top spot, having spent one week there with previous #1 ‘She Looks So Perfect’.
#3: Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa ‘One Kiss’ – Notching up its seventh week in the Top Ten, ‘One Kiss’ snares a new peak at #3. It’s Harris’ sixth single to hit the Top Three and Dua Lipa’s third.
#9: Selena Gomez ‘Back To You’ – Jumping up three spots from last week, Selena Gomez’s ‘Back To You’ hits the Top Ten for the first time in its third week in the chart. It becomes the American artist’s fourth Top Ten single on the Singles Charts.
#10: Shawn Mendes ‘In My Blood’ – As his self-titled third album debuts at #1 on the Albums Chart, Shawn Mendes re-enters the Top Ten with ‘In My Blood’. Current single ‘Youth’ has moved up 15 spots to claim a new peak at #19.
