Welcome to This Week In Pop.
This week, 5 Seconds of Summer’s Luke Hemmings arrives at #4 on the ARIA Albums Chart this week with 'boy', while Taylor Swift’s 'The Tortured Poets Department' hits two weeks at the top.
Debuting at #3 – 38 years after their debut album 'Please' climbed to #10 here – are enduring UK duo Pet Shop Boys with their 15th album 'Nonetheless'. Their best performer locally was 'Very', which got to #2 in 1993.
The release of an expanded version of Icelandic jazz musician Laufey’s 'Bewitched' sees it storm back onto the chart at #6. It had previously peaked at #46 last year.
Taylor’s 'Fortnight' with Post Malone holds at #1 for a second week on the Singles Chart, but snapping at its heels is 'Espresso' by rising star Sabrina Carpenter, which froths up from #17 to #2.
After a star turn on Beyonce’s recent #1 album Cowboy Carter, American singer and producer Shaboozey flies from #34 to #3 with 'A Bar Song (Tipsy)'.
