Welcome to This Week In Pop.
This week, two-time ARIA Award winners Lime Cordiale charge onto the ARIA Albums Chart at #1 this week with their third release, 'Enough Of The Sweet Talk'. It’s the follow-up to '14 Steps To A Better You', which hit #1 for one week in 2020.
ARIA CEO, Annabelle Herd, said: “FINALLY. We have an Australian #1 album in 2024 and it feels incredible. Congratulations to Lime Cordiale for an amazing debut at the top of the Albums Chart, and also for taking out the inaugural Australian #1 Album Award earlier today. It’s an outstanding achievement, everyone at ARIA is so happy for them and their team.”
Also new at #10 are Aussie electronic music duo Empire Of The Sun with 'Ask That God'. It’s their fourth album and fourth trip to the top 10.
On the Singles Chart, it’s five weeks on top for Virginia-born Shaboozey’s 'A Bar Song (Tipsy)'.
