This week, Taylor Swift's 'Lover' debuts at #1 on the Albums Chart. Bockhampton and Tropical F**k Storm make it into the top ten.

This week's album chartifacts

#1: Taylor Swift ‘Lover’ – American superstar Taylor Swift scores her fifth #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart with her seventh studio album 'Lover'. It is the single biggest week for any album in 2019. Taylor also looks likely to the be the artist with the most #1 albums this decade with five. She has also previously hit #1 with 'Speak Now' (#1 November ’10), 'Red' (#1 October ’12), '1989' (#1 November ’14) and 'Reputation' (#1 November ’17).
#3: Brockhampton ‘Ginger’ – American collective Brockhampton grab their highest charts peak with new album, 'Ginger'. The fifth studio album by the 13-member hip-hop group becomes their second Top Ten entry after 'Iridescence' (#6 October ’18).
#10: Tropical F**k Storm ‘Braindrops’ – Melbourne quartet Tropical F**k Storm net their second chart appearance in as many years and their first Top Ten entry with 'Braindrops'. Featuring Gareth Liddiard and Fiona Kitschin from The Drones, the band’s second album comes just over a year on from their debut, 'A Laughing Death In Meatspace' (#25 May ’18). 'Braindrops' is #1 on the ARIA Vinyl Albums Chart this week.

This week's single chartifacts

#1: Tones And I ‘Dance Monkey’ – For the fifth consecutive week, Tones And I is at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart with ‘Dance Monkey’. The last time an Australian female solo artist spent five weeks at #1 was when Gabriella Cilmi’s ‘Sweet About Me’ held the top spot for five non-consecutive weeks in May/June 2008. The most time spent at #1 by an Australian female solo artist was Kylie Minogue with ‘Locomotion’ (#1 August ‘87). This week, Tones And I released her debut EP, 'The Kids Are Coming'; look out for it on next week’s chart.
#3: Taylor Swift ‘Lover’ – Debuting at #1 on this week’s Albums Chart with Lover, Taylor Swift scores 13 entries on the Singles Chart this week with tracks from her seventh album. After debuting at #15 last week, 'Lover'’s title track has moved up 12 spots to become the album’s third Top Three single after ‘Me!’ (#2 May ’19) and ‘You Need To Calm Down’ (#3 June ’19).
#7: Marshmello Feat. Kane Brown ‘One Thing Right’ – Hitting its ninth week in the chart, Marshmello’s ‘One Thing Right’ moves up two spots to claim another new peak at #7.
