This week, The Amity Affliction and Dean Lewis (both Australian acts!) sit up at #1. BTS debut new work as well.

This week's album chartifacts

#1: The Amity Affliction ‘Misery’ (Debut) – Queensland metalcore band The Amity Affliction (scenestr September cover story here) score their fourth #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart with 'Misery'. The group’s sixth studio release is the follow-up to 'This Could Be Heartbreak' (#1 August ’16). They’ve previously topped the ARIA Charts with 'Let The Ocean Take Me' (#1 June ’14) and 'Chasing Ghosts' (#1 September ’12). The Amity Affliction become the first Australian band to have four consecutive releases hit #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
#9: BTS ‘Love Yourself 結 'Answer'’ (Debut) – K-pop group BTS take out a third Top Ten entry on the ARIA Albums Chart with 'Love Yourself 結Answer'. The compilation brings together tracks from 'Love Yourself: 承 Her' (#8 September ’17) and 'Love Yourself: 轉 Tear' (#6 May ’18), as well as seven newly record tracks. One of the new songs, ‘Idol’, has debuted at #35 on this week’s Singles Chart.

This week's single chartifacts

#1: Dean Lewis ‘Be Alright’ – Dean Lewis notches up his third consecutive week at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart with ‘Be Alright’. The track has started to make inroads on a number of charts around the world, including in New Zealand, the UK and Ireland.
#6: George Ezra ‘Shotgun’ – A week on from cracking the Top Ten, George Ezra’s ‘Shotgun’ moves up a further three spots to claim a new peak at #6.  The single is one spot below Ezra’s all-time chart peak, achieved with ‘Budapest’ (#5 August ’14).
