Welcome to This Week In Pop.
This week, Spacey Jane debut at #1 on the Albums Chart in another Aussie success story.
Spacey Jane write: “Thank you so, so much for the love and support we’ve received for this record. Making this album was a massive journey for us all, we poured our hearts into it. From seeing your tags and mentions, meeting you in person and hearing you talk about what 'Here Comes Everybody' means to you and to having a number 1 album… We are all so deeply grateful for everything.”
This is the Perth four piece's second debut on the charts after their first album 'Sunlight' made it to #2 last year.
Luke Combs debuts at #1 with 'Growin' Up'. It's his third debut on the Albums Chart top ten. Aussie indie hardcore band SPEED have also made their first ARIA Charts debut at #5 with their EP 'Gang Called Speed'. Kate Bush returns to #1 on the Singles Chart with 'Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)', bumping last week's #1 to #2.
