Welcome to This Week In Pop.

BLACKPINK have smashed an ARIA Singles Chart record with new single 'Pink Venom'; while beloved Aussie pub rockers, The Chats, score a #2 debut on this week’s Albums Chart.

The much-anticipated comeback of K-pop superstars BLACKPINK, featuring Australian-raised singer Rosé, has officially begun. 'Pink Venom', the first single from upcoming album 'Born Pink' – which reached 86.2 million YouTube views in its first 24 hours – debuts at #1 on the singles chart, making it the highest-debuting single by a K-pop group in ARIA Chart history

Scoring the #1 spot on this week’s Albums Chart is Madonna with 'Finally Enough Love', her 12th #1 album. In the #2 position comes The Chats’ second studio album, 'Get F**cked'. This is an ARIA Charts peak for The Chats, whose first album 'High Risk Behaviour' was a contender for Best Hard Rock Heavy Metal Album in the 2020 ARIA Awards.
