Welcome to This Week In Pop.
This week, Billie Eilish’s third full-length studio album, 'Hit Me Hard And Soft', takes the top spot on the ARIA Albums Chart, while 2007 ARIA-Hall-of-Fame inductees, Hoodoo Gurus, mark seven albums in the top 10.
'Hit Me Hard And Soft' marks three for three for Eilish, who topped the chart for eight non-consecutive weeks in 2019-20 with 'When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?' and two weeks in 2021 with 'Happier Than Ever'.
The 40th anniversary of Hoodoo Gurus’ debut album 'Stoneage Romeos' lands at #8. The original 'Stoneage Romeos' peaked at #29 in 1984.
American singer-songwriter Tommy Richman scores his first #1, as 'Million Dollar Baby' steps up from #2 last week. He is the fourth act to score their first #1 this year, following in the footsteps of Noah Kahan, Benson Boone and Sabrina Carpenter.
Billie Eilish scores 10 top 50 hits this week, all from 'Hit Me Hard And Soft'. The best performer is 'Lunch', which lands at #5 and becomes her 15th top five hit here.
