This week, Ed Sheeran's album returns to #1, while King Gizzard's recent album heads to #2 and Killswitch Engage release' Atonement'.

This week's album chartifacts

#1: Ed Sheeran ‘No.6 Collaborations Project’ – After a week at #2, Ed Sheeran’s 'No.6 Collaborations Project' returns to take out a fifth week at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
#2: King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard ‘Infest The Rats’ Nest’ – Melbourne’s King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard score their second debut on the Albums Chart in 2019 with 'Infest The Rats’ Nest'. The seven-piece’s 15th studio album comes three months on from 'Fishing For Fishies' (#4 May ’19) and sees them take a turn into heavy metal.
#4: Killswitch Engage ‘Atonement’ – American metalcore band Killswitch Engage notch up their third Top Ten on the ARIA Albums Chart with 'Atonement'. It’s their first album since 'Incarnate' (#5 March ’16). Killswitch Engage first hit the Top Ten with 'Disarm The Descent' (#6 April ’13).

This week's single chartifacts

#1: Tones And I ‘Dance Monkey’ – Tones And I holds #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart for a fourth consecutive week with ‘Dance Monkey’. The Byron Bay artist also sits at #20 this week with ‘Johnny Run Away’ and #21 with ‘Never Seen The Rain’. The last time a single by Australian female solo artist to spent four straight weeks at #1 was Gabriella Cilmi’s ‘Sweet About Me’ in May/June 2008 (it spent a total of five non-consecutive weeks in the top spot).
#6: Blanco Brown ‘The Git Up’ – Notching up its tenth week in the Top 50, Blanco Brown’s ‘The Git Up’ moves up two more spots to claim another new peak at #6. The country rap track peaked at #14 in America.
#8: Lil Tecca ‘Ransom’ – A week on from debuting at #15, Lil Tecca’s ‘Ransom’ storms into the Top Ten at #8. It also peaked at #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US.
#9: Marshmello Feat. Kane Brown ‘One Thing Right’ – Eight weeks into its chart run, ‘One Thing Right’ by American producer Marshmello moves up three to hit the Top Ten for the first time. Featuring country singer Kane Brown, it’s the third country crossover track to feature in this week’s Top Ten along with Lil Nas X’s ‘Old Town Road’ and Blanco Brown’s ‘The Git Up’.
