This week, 5 Seconds Of Summer are hanging out at the top of both charts while the death of rapper XXXTentacion brings his music back into the spotlight.

#1: 5 Seconds Of Summer ‘Youngblood’ (Debut) – Sydney band 5 Seconds Of Summer score their third #1 debut on the ARIA Albums Chart with 'Youngblood'. The group’s third studio album is their first since 'Sounds Good Feels Good' (#1 November ’15) and features the singles ‘Want You Back’ (#32 March ’18) and ‘Youngblood’, which is spending its fifth consecutive week at #1 on the Singles Chart this week. 5SOS first topped the Albums Chart with their self-titled debut (#1 July ’14).#5: XXXTentacion ‘?’ – The second album from XXXTentacion jumps 21 spots to #5 in light of the rapper’s death. The album previously peaked at #3.
#6: The Carters ‘Everything Is Love’ (Debut) – One of music’s most powerful couples, Beyoncé and Jay-Z, release their first album as The Carters, 'Everything Is Love'. Released to coincide with their 'On The Run II' tour of Europe and North America, the album is Beyoncé’s first to chart since 'Lemonade' (#1 May ’16) and Jay-Z’s first since '4:44' (#3 July ’17).
#7: Calum Scott ‘Only Human’ - Following the announcement of his first Australian tour, British artist Calum Scott returns to the Top 50 this week with 'Only Human'. As well his re-entry on the Albums Chart, Scott has returned to the Top 50 on the Singles Chart with two tracks: ‘You Are The Reason’ (#37) and ‘Dancing On My Own’ (#49).
#9: Christina Aguilera ‘Liberation’ (Debut) – Christina Aguilera returns with her first album in six years, 'Liberation'. The follow-up to 'Lotus' (#19 November. ’12), Aguilera’s eighth studio album becomes her first to hit the Top Ten since 'Bionic' (#3 June ’10). Liberation features several tracks produced by Kanye West, as well as contributions from Demi Lovato, 2 Chainz, Ty Dolla $ign and Anderson .Paak.
This week's single chartifacts
#1: 5 Seconds Of Summer ‘Youngblood’ – In the week they pick up their third #1 on the Albums Chart with Youngblood, the title track to 5 Seconds Of Summer’s third album spends a fifth straight week at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart.#2: Maroon 5 Feat. Cardi B ‘Girls Like You’ – Moving up one spot from last week, ‘Girls Like You’ becomes Maroon 5’s fourth track to peak at #2 on the ARIA Singles Chart. The band has previously reached the same peak with ‘Moves Like Jagger’ (#2 August ’11), ‘Payphone’ (#2 June ’12) and ‘One More Night’ (#2 August ’12).
#4: Anne-Marie ‘2002’ – In its third week in the Top Ten, Anne-Marie’s ‘2002’ jumps up four spots to grab a new peak at #4. It matches the British artist’s highest chart peak, previously reached with the Marshmello collaboration ‘Friends’ (#4 April ’18).
#8: XXXTentacion ‘Sad!’ – Following the death of XXXTentacion at the age of 20, two of the rapper’s tracks have re-entered the Top 50 this week. The highest re-entry comes for ‘Sad!’, which picks up a new peak at #8. Further down the chart, ‘Changes’ is back in at #34.
