Welcome to This Week In Pop.
This week, English singer Yungblud’s recent Australian tour sends his current album 'Idols' into the #1 spot on the ARIA Albums Chart.
'Idols' is up from #12 last week, it had previously climbed to #4 when it was released in June last year. The album is Yungblud’s second chart-topper: his self-titled album spent one week at #1 in 2022.
Madison Beer is new at #3 with her third studio album, 'Locket'. A$AP Rocky’s 'Don’t Be Dumb' debuts at #5. Featuring collaborations with Tyler, The Creator, Greg Kurstin, Metro Boomin and more, it’s his fourth studio album: he reached #7 in 2013 with 'Long Live A$AP', #5 in 2015 with 'At Long Last A$AP' and #5 in 2018 with 'Testing'.
On the Singles Chart, Olivia Dean’s 'Man I Need' holds at #1 for the 10th week in a row. It’s the longest running #1 single by a solo English female artist since Sandi Thom’s 'I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker (With Flowers In My Hair)' also spent 10 weeks on top in 2006.
UK singer Raye’s 'Where Is My Husband!' hits a new peak, up from #6 to #3. Bruno Mars scores his 19th top 10 single (including collaborations) as 'I Just Might' rises from #11 to #10.
