This week, Harry Styles' self-titled album debuts at #1, Paramore's first album in four years makes the top three and Miley Cyrus returns to the Singles Chart.

This week's album chartifacts

#1: Harry Styles ‘Harry Styles’ (debut) – After topping the ARIA Singles Chart last month with ‘Sign Of The Times’ (#1 April ’17), Harry Styles scores his first #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart with his self-titled debut album. Harry Styles becomes the second album by a former One Direction member to top the Albums Chart, following on from Zayn Malik’s 'Mind Of Mine' (#1 April ’16).
#3: Paramore ‘After Laughter’ (debut) – American band Paramore return with their fifth studio album, 'After Laughter'. It’s the Tennessee band’s first album since their self-titled fourth album (#1 April ’13) four years ago. They also previously hit #1 with 'Brand New Eyes' (#1 Oct. ’09).
#8: Zac Brown Band ‘Welcome Home’ (debut) – With their fifth album, American country group the Zac Brown Band score a second top ten entry on the ARIA Albums Chart. 'Welcome Home' is the follow-up to 'Jekyll + Hyde' (#6 May ’15). The track ‘Start Over’ features a co-write by Pharrell Williams.

This week's single chartifacts

#1: Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee Feat. Justin Bieber ‘Despacito’ – Climbing one spot from last week, Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee’s ‘Despacito’ has hit #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart. It achieves the feat in its fourth week in the top 50 and becomes the first #1 performed predominantly in a language other than English since Psy’s ‘Gangnam Style’ (#1 October ’12), plus the first #1 performed predominately in Spanish since Las Ketchup’s ‘The Ketchup Song (Asereje)’ (#1 October ’02).
#3: Miley Cyrus ‘Malibu’ (debut) – More than three years after her last single, Miley Cyrus returns to the ARIA Charts with ‘Malibu’. The single comes from Cyrus’ forthcoming sixth studio album and is her fifth top ten in Australia. Cyrus last charted with ‘Adore You’ (#25 February ’14).
#4: Harry Styles ‘Sign Of The Times’ – In the week that Harry Styles’ self-titled album debuts at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, his debut single moves back up five spots on the chart to #4. Another track from Harry Styles, ‘Sweet Creature’, debuts this week at #42.
