This week's album chartifacts

#1: Post Malone ‘Hollywood’s Bleeding’ – Post Malone’s 'Hollywood’s Bleeding' notches up its sixth straight week at the top of the ARIA Albums Chart. It becomes the album with the second most weeks at #1 in 2019, sitting one week behind Billie Eilish’s 'When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?'
#3: Hillsong Worship ‘Awake’ – Hillsong Worship take out another Top Ten entry on the Albums Chart with Awake. A rare studio album by the group, it’s their first appearance on the chart since 'There Is More' (#2 April ’18). They also hit the chart in recent years with 'Let There Be Light' (#2 October ’16) and 'Open Heaven/River Wild' (#1 October ’15).
#9: Grinspoon ‘Chemical Heart (Best Of)’ – Grinspoon release the vinyl-only compilation, 'Chemical Heart (Best Of)'. It’s the second career-spanning collection from the Lismore band after 'Best In Show' (#12 November ’05).

This week's single chartifacts

#1: Tones And I ‘Dance Monkey’ – ‘Dance Monkey’ by Tones And I holds #1 for a twelfth consecutive week. Two other tracks have also held the top spot for that long: Pharrell Williams’ ‘Happy’ (2014) and Eminem’s ‘Lose Yourself (2002/03). This week, ‘Dance Monkey’ became the first single by an Australian artist to top Spotify’s Global Chart.
#3: Maroon 5 ‘Memories’ – After hitting the Top Ten for the first time last week, Maroon 5’s ‘Memories’ climbs up four spots to hit #3. It’s the American band’s sixth Top Three single in Australia; their first was with ‘She Will Be Loved’ (#1 September ’04).
#6: Regard ‘Ride It’ – Regard’s remix of Jay Sean’s ‘Ride It’ continues to blaze its way up the chart. After hitting #11 last week, it’s up five spots this week to hit the Top Ten at #6.
#7: Harry Styles ‘Lights Up’ – Former One Direction member Harry Styles returns to the ARIA Singles Chart this week with ‘Lights Up’. The track is Styles’ first Top Ten single since his debut solo effort ‘Sign Of The Times’ peaked at #1 in April 2017 and is the first single from his forthcoming second solo album. ‘Lights Up’ becomes Styles’ third entry into the Singles Chart, following ‘Sweet Creature’ (#39 May ’17).
#10: blackbear ‘Hot Girl Bummer’ – In its fifth week in the Top 50, ‘Hot Girl Bummer’ by blackbear hits the Top Ten for the first time.
