Welcome to This Week In Pop.
This week, Australian country legend Troy Cassar-Daley arrives at #2 this week with 'Between The Fires', while Angus & Julia Stone return with their first album in three years, 'Cape Forestier', landing at #5 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
For Angus & Julia Stone, all five of the sister and brother’s studio albums have gone top 10, while two have reached the summit: 'Down The Way' in 2010 and Angus & Julia Stone in 2014. As a duo they have won six ARIA Awards, including Album of the Year in 2010 for 'Down The Way'.
The announcement of Olivia Rodrigo’s Australian tour later this year sends her two former chart-toppers soaring, with 'Guts' jumping from #10 to #3 and 'Sour' up from #11 to #4.
On the singles chart, Post Malone’s country-flavoured 'I Had Some Help' featuring Morgan Wallen blasts onto the chart at #1. Post was on top a couple of weeks ago with 'Fortnight', his duet with Taylor Swift, while Morgan spent eight weeks at #1 last year with 'Last Night'.
Kendrick Lamar’s diss track 'Not Like Us' lands in the top five, up from #9 last week. It’s his first top five hit since 2022, when 'Die Hard' peaked at #5.
