#1: Huskii ‘Antihero’ – Wollongong-born, Sydney-based rapper Huskii scores his first ever #1 on the ARIA Charts as he debuts in the top spot with 'Antihero'. It’s the hip hop artist’s debut album, following the release of three EPs: 'Recalled' (2020), 'Brainumb' (2017) and 'Barely Awake & Paranoid' (2016). Huskii has also previously collaborated with Chillinit on the EP '4 Days' and the album 'Family Ties' (#5 December ’21). 'Antihero' is the first Australian #1 album on the ARIA Charts in 2022. On receiving news of his #1, Huskii said “'Antihero' is #1 on the charts! I owe everything to my fans. Thank you for coming out and supporting. Love yas.”
#6: alt-J ‘The Dream’ – Returning with their fourth album, 'The Dream', British indie trio alt-J take out their fourth ARIA Top Ten. The new album comes nearly five years on from 'Relaxer' (#4 June ’17). 2022 also marks ten years since the band released their debut album, 'An Awesome Wave' (#9 February ’13). 'The Dream' has debuted at #1 on this week’s ARIA Vinyl Albums Chart.
#8: Eddie Vedder ‘Earthling’ – Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder debuts at #8 with 'Earthling'. Vedder’s third solo album is his first in a decade, following on from 'Ukulele Songs' (#6 June ’11). Earthling includes performances by Ringo Starr, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and former RHCP guitarist Josh Klinghoffer.
