This week, Anthony Callea tops the Albums Chart and the top ten is scattered with debuts from the likes of The National, Jack Johnson and Kip Moore. Sam Smith returns with new single 'Too Good At Goodbyes'.

This week's album chartifacts

#1: Anthony Callea ‘ARIA Number 1 Hits In Symphony’ (debut) – Melbourne-born singer Anthony Callea takes out his third #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart with ARIA Number 1 Hits In Symphony. The follow-up to 'Backbone' (#1 September ’16) sees Callea and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra performing versions of twelve tracks that have hit #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart. 'ARIA Number 1 Hits In Symphony' is the eighth Australian #1 album on the ARIA Charts in 2017.
#2: The National ‘Sleep Well Beast’ (debut) – With their seventh studio album, American band The National pick up their second #2 debut on the ARIA Albums Chart. 'Sleep Well Beast' is the five-piece’s first album release since 'Trouble Will Find Me' (#2 May ’13) four years ago.
#3: Jack Johnson ‘All The Light Above It Too’ (debut) – Singer-songwriter Jack Johnson’s seventh studio album gives the American artist a seventh top three peak on the ARIA Albums Chart. 'All The Light Above It Too' comes four years on from 'From Here To Now To You' (#3 September ’13). Of Johnson’s seven top three peaks, four have been #1s: 'In Between Dreams' (#1 March ’05), 'Sing-A-Longs And Lullabies: Songs For The Film Curious George' (#1 February ’06), 'Sleep Through The Static' (#1 February ’08) and 'To The Sea' (#1 June ’10).
#6: Kip Moore ‘Slowheart’ (debut) – American country artist Kip Moore picks up his second top 50 entry with 'Slowheart'. Moore’s third album takes over from 2015’s 'Wild Ones' (#29 April ’17) as his highest peak.

This week's single chartifacts

#1: Sam Smith ‘Too Good At Goodbyes’ (debut) – With his first single since 2015, English singer-songwriter Sam Smith notches up his first #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart. ‘Too Good At Goodbyes’ is the first track released from Smith’s forthcoming second album, the follow-up to 'In The Lonely Hour' (#1 April ’15). He’s previously hit the top ten with ‘Stay With Me’ (#5 June ’14) and ‘Lay Me Down’ (#3 March ’15). Sam Smith last charted with ‘Writing's On The Wall’ (#43 November ’15), the theme to the James Bond film 'Spectre'.
#4: Dua Lipa ‘New Rules’ – After spending two weeks at #6, ‘New Rules’ moves up two spots to give Dua Lipa a new ARIA Singles Chart peak.
#8: Zayn Feat. Sia ‘Dusk Till Dawn’ – Featuring vocals from Sia, ‘Dusk Till Dawn’ is the second track released from Zayn’s forthcoming second album. The follow-up to ‘Still Got Game’ (#20 April ’17) becomes the former One Direction member’s second solo top ten entry after ‘Pillowtalk’ (#1 February ’16). He’s also hit the top ten with the duet with Taylor Swift ‘I Don't Wanna Live Forever’ (#3 December ’16).
#10: Logic Feat. Alessia Cara & Khalid ‘1-800-273-8255’ – The chart climb of ‘1-800-273-8255’ continues. After jumping 20 places last week, it’s up a further seven this week. The track’s first week in the top ten comes in its sixth week in the top 50.
