This week, Jimmy Barnes extends his lead as the artist with the most #1 albums in Australia, as 'Defiant' storms to the top of the ARIA Albums Chart.
This marks his 16th album at #1, putting Jimmy two ahead of the Beatles (post 1965 total) and three ahead of Taylor Swift.
On his success, Jimmy said: “An album is successful to me when I put everything down on tape. It is even more successful when those feelings connect with other people. To have my album hit number one is the cherry on top of all that. I am loving playing this bunch of songs. I couldn’t have done any of this without the support of my audience. So thanks to you all.”
TikTok superstar Addison Rae arrives at #2 with her debut album, 'Addison'. She has more than 88 million followers, making her the fifth most followed person on the platform. Her new single, 'Fame Is A Gun', jumps from #91 to #36 this week.
On the Singles Chart, Alex Warren’s 'Ordinary' takes the top spot for the 12th week in a row. It is now in a four-way tie with Eminem’s 'Lose Yourself', Pharrell Williams’ 'Happy' and Miley Cyrus’ 'Flowers' as the sixth longest-running single in Australian chart history. His latest track, 'Bloodline' with Jelly Roll, is at #22 this week.
Sabrina Carpenter scores her fifth top 10 hit as 'Manchild' debuts at #2. Her chart history includes three #1 hits – 'Espresso', 'Please Please Please' and 'Taste'.
