This week's album chartifacts
#1: Kanye West ‘ye’ (Debut) – American rapper Kanye West takes out his second #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, debuting in the top spot with his eighth studio album, 'ye'. The album comes two years on from 'The Life Of Pablo' and is his first to chart since 'Yeezus' (#1 June ’13). 'ye' includes contributions from Kid Cudi, Nicki Minaj, Ty Dolla Sign, 070 Shake and more. All seven of the album’s tracks have hit the Top 50 on this week’s ARIA Singles Chart.#5: The Presets ‘Hi Viz’ (Debut) – Returning with 'Hi Viz', their first album in six years, Sydney duo The Presets score their third Top Ten entry on the ARIA Albums Chart. The dance act’s fourth studio album features guest appearances from Alison Wonderland and DMA’s. The Presets have previously charted with 'Apocalypso' (#1 April ’08) and 'Pacifica' (#3 September ’12).
#7: Ghost ‘Prequelle’ (Debut) – Ghost pick up a new ARIA Albums Chart peak with 'Prequelle'. The Swedish heavy metal band’s fourth studio album is their second to hit the Top 50, following 'Meliora' (#20 August ’15). The album marks the debut of front man Tobias Forge’s new character “Cardinal Copia”.
#8: Luke Combs ‘This One’s For You’ – Luke Combs scores a new peak with 'This One’s For You'. The American country artist’s debut album debuted at #16 in March and spent the last nine weeks outside of the Top 50 before making its return. The resurgence comes on the back of the release of a deluxe edition of the album that includes five additional tracks.
#9: Father John Misty ‘God’s Favourite Customer’ (Debut) – American singer-songwriter Josh Tillman hits a new Albums Chart peak with his fourth album under the Father John Misty moniker, 'God’s Favourite Customer'. The release comes just over a year on from previous album 'Pure Comedy' (#14 April ’17) and features contributions from Mark Ronson, Weyes Blood and Foxygen’s Jonathan Rado, among others.

#1: 5 Seconds Of Summer ‘Youngblood’ – For the third consecutive week, 5 Seconds Of Summer sits at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart with ‘Youngblood’.#5: Maroon 5 Feat. Cardi B ‘Girls Like You’ (Debut) – Maroon 5 scores a fourth Singles Chart entry from 'Red Pill Blues' (#7 November ’17) with ‘Girls Like You’. The track, which features rapper Cardi B, is the third Top Ten from the album.
#6: Amy Shark ‘I Said Hi’ – In its fourth week in the Top Ten, Amy Shark’s ‘I Said Hi’ climbs up two spots to score a new peak at #6.
#9: Selena Gomez ‘Back To You’ – Selena Gomez’s ‘Back To You’ moves up two spots to #7 in the same week its parent album, the soundtrack to '13 Reasons Why' Season 2, debuts at #45 on the Albums Chart.
