Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and some beyond.

Welcome to This Week In Pop.

This week, the soundtrack to Netflix’s hit 'KPop Demon Hunters' takes the #1 spot, while Aussie punk rockers FANGZ land in the top 10 with 'Shui'.

'KPop Demon Hunters' marks the first soundtrack from an animated movie to reach the top in more than eight years – 'Trolls' spent three weeks at #1 in early 2017 – and the first soundtrack to hit #1 since 2023, when 'Barbie The Album' spent two weeks at the chart’s zenith.

Sydney-based five-piece, FANGZ, mark a #8 debut for their first full-length album 'Shui'.

Elsewhere on the Singles Chart, Alex Warren’s 'Ordinary' continues to hold at #1 for the 16th straight week. It’s topped the charts in more than 25 countries, including the US and the UK.
