Welcome to This Week In Pop.
This week, the soundtrack for 'Wicked: For Good' flies on to the ARIA Albums Chart at #1.
Aussie pop punk band SoSo land in the top 5 with their debut album, 'So Much For Second Chances'.
"We are absolutely blown away. This is something we are incredibly proud of and we owe it all to our SoSo Crew: you know who you are! We are so lucky to have the best fanbase in the world, they back us every step of the way and have believed in our push for this album more than anyone else. This means so much to us as an independent band, we can't wait to share what we have cooking up next,” SoSo shared.
On the Singles Chart, ARIA Awards performer Olivia Dean holds at #1 for a second week with 'Man I Need'. Her former #1 album, 'The Art Of Loving', steps up from #4 to #2.
South Korean boy band Stray Kids, which includes Aussies Felix and Bangchan, score the week’s highest new entry and their biggest hit so far here, as 'Do It' debuts at #10. Until now, their best performer was 'Lalalala', which stopped at #64 in 2023.
