This That Pushes Newcastle & Brisbane Festivals Back To 2022

Update - 29 September, 2021: The Brisbane leg at Sandstone Point will feature Spacey Jane, Hayden James, The Presets, Dune Rats, The Chats, Client Liaison, Meg Mac, Jack River, The Rubens, San Cisco, Kota Banks, Wafia, Haiku Hands and Badrapper Vs Luude.

The team behind annual music festival This That have had to postpone their 2021 events in Newcastle and Brisbane (debut year) to next year thanks to the trolling actions of COVID.

With lockdown still affecting parts of New South Wales and interstate travel sketchy at best, This That will now take place on 26 February in Newcastle and 5 March in Brisbane.

The Newcastle line-up remains almost identical to the 2021 bill (Enschway has been added replacing Sippy) while the Brisbane line-up will be revealed next Wednesday (29 September).

"Though restrictions are not as intense in Queensland, the team always intended for This That to be a double weekender across two states with the best acts playing from around the country - and this means acts moving between borders," This That organisers says.

"It's also important to organisers that the experience is as close to the original format as possible for the first time the festival unleashes at Sandstone Point (QLD).

"By moving the dates to February and March, this new timeline will hopefully allow the safest and best opportunity to deliver the best festival experience for everyone."

Tickets already purchased for the 2020, 2021 events remain valid for 2022. "For those who can't join the party in February and March, a one-week refund window via Oztix is open now for Newcastle and the Sandstone Point refund window opens next week.

"Both This That Sandstone Point and This That Newcastle are 95% sold with less than a thousand tickets left for each location, so holding onto tickets is the best way to avoid regrets in a few month's time."

This That Newcastle takes place at Wickham Park 26 February and This That Brisbane takes place at Sandstone Point Hotel 5 March.
