American underground DIY alternative heroes, They Might Be Giants return down under for a national tour this spring.
The five-date run – Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth in October – will be split into two distinctive sets. The first will see the band, led by John Flansburgh and John Linnell, perform their 1990 breakthrough album 'Flood' in full, followed by a second set featuring material across their entire discography (including their Grammy nominated 2021 album 'BOOK'; their 23rd album overall).
"Australia! We are coming your way!" TMBG have been touring this version of their live show since mid 2022, selling out 70-plus US shows so far.
Joined by their incomparable live band (Dan Miller, Danny Weinkauf and Marty Beller) that now also features the show-stopping Tricerachops Horns, each concert will be presented in a slightly different format as the show evolves every night, but needless to say, this is a once-in-a-lifetime tour.
'Flood' is the third studio album by They Might Be Giants, which was released in January 1990. It was the duo's first album on the major label Elektra Records, and generated three singles: 'Birdhouse In Your Soul', 'Istanbul (Not Constantinople)', and 'Twisting'.
Tickets on sale from 9am (local time) on 24 February.
