A taster series ahead of the March extended programme, that will visit various entertainment districts across New South Wales, this month Great Southern Nights will showcase a host of Australia's finest and emerging music talent at several inner-west Sydney and Western Sydney venues.
Primed to highlight live music in prominent entertainment districts, Great Southern Nights offers music lovers as well as intrepid explorers experiences that combine great cuisine and local hospitality with iconic venues.The likes of Dami Im, The Temper Trap, Thelma Plum, Thy Art Is Murder, Beccy Cole, Alex The Astronaut and Tasman Keith will each headline their own concerts (between 16-25 November), supported by rapidly rising stars in the making like Cloe Terare, Rachel Whitchurch, JK-47 and Thunderfox.
Hip hop festival 4ESydney Festival in Blacktown will feature OG act 1200 Techniques and Western Sydney force L-Fresh The Lion joined by DOBBY, JK-47, Nooky, VV Pete and a stack more.
There's a heap of additional shows (some of them free) happening throughout these two districts during the taster series, with intimate gigs from artists like Body Type, Salarymen, Henry Wagons, Chanel Loren, Jet City Sports Club, The Radiators, Charles Jenkins and Dominic Green.
Stay tuned for the Great Southern Nights 2024 programme – that runs 8-24 March – which will be unveiled next month, featuring 300-plus gigs across 17 nights throughout Sydney's inner west and Western Sydney, as well as key music communities across NSW including Tamworth, Wagga Wagga, Newcastle, Wollongong and Northern Rivers.
Great Southern Nights is a NSW Government initiative delivered via its tourism and major events agency Destination NSW in partnership with the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA).
