With the news last month that iconic Brisbane venue The Zoo would change hands in June this year, now comes the announcement of 23.5 - A Dual Celebration to farewell original co-founder and manager Joc Curran and to welcome new owner, Pixie Weyland.
In what will be a first for The Zoo, the venue will present a 100 per cent mystery line-up on 25 June. While the identity of musicians who have committed to the event, which is a must-attend for anyone remotely interested in Brisbane's music scene, organisers have let a few nuggets of info out.
An all-star line-up of over 40 artists will be gathering to make this an unforgettable experience as well as to pay the deepest respect to Joc for 23.5 years of service to the Australian music and arts industries. This cavalcade of artists and musicians will feature some very special guests, a surprise reunion (or three?) and a one-off collaborative performance (or two?)... all dear friends entwined within the fabric of The Zoo and it's 23.5 years in the centre of the Brisbane music scene.
