The Wombats To Play First Brisbane Show In 6 Years

The Wombats
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Brisbane, you’ve been heard you!

Back by popular demand for the first time in six years, The Wombats will be playing an all-ages Brisbane show at The Riverstage with a huge line-up of special guests; German duo Milky Chance (whose own Brisbane headline show is now sold out!) and hometown heroes The Jungle Giants.

But wait, it gets better… the show will be on the Queensland Labour Day public holiday, Monday 1 May.

2017 marks ten years since indie-rock royalty The Wombats’ debuted 'A Guide To Love, Loss & Desperation', featuring indie dancefloor staples ‘Let’s Dance To Joy Division’ and ‘Moving To New York’.

The show will be a celebration of the band, showcasing your favourites from the album along with a slew of hits from 'Glitterbug' and 'This Modern Glitch'. So, don’t sleep on this one boys, girls and marsupials.

The Wombats two debut shows at the Sydney Opera House are now officially sold out, with Melbourne and Perth shows not far behind. Hint.
