Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Chart-topping, platinum-selling indie heroes The Wombats are headed to their home away from home this September-October for ‘Oh!’ The Tour.

The group will hit up Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney for headline shows, as well as appearances in regional Australia for SummerSalt Festival. The Wombats will be ready to play a stack of new tracks, from their upcoming album ‘Oh! The Ocean’ (due for release 14 February).

The Wombats debuted in 2007 with ‘A Guide To Love, Loss & Desperation’. Since, frontman Murph, bassist Tord Øverland Knudsen and drummer Dan Haggis have maintained an incredible upward momentum, with bodies of work like ‘This Modern Glitch’, ‘Glitterbug’, ‘Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life’, and ‘Fix Yourself, Not The World’ which became the band’s first #1 album, reaching more than 2.5 billion streams.

Meanwhile, the next project ‘Oh! The Ocean’ trembles with confessional, emotional honesty. The latest sing is ‘Can’t Say No’, examining the human need to throw ourselves into wild, often self-destructive experiences to distract ourselves from our inner anguish.

Joining The Wombats on this Australian tour will be Del Water Gap, Bea And Her Business, and Ra Ra Viper.

Tickets are on sale 17 February.
