The Whitlams will tour nationally August-September 2020.
One of Australia's most-beloved bands, The Whitlams will tour nationally later this year with the 'Gaffage and Clink' tour.
Loyal fans will be beside themselves, with the additional news Tim Freedman has recently re-discovered his muse and the band will soon release their first new-music in 14 years.
'Gaffage and clink' is backstage lingo referenced in a yet-to-be-released song that celebrates the relationship between the band and their long-time tour manager Greg Weaver, who died suddenly last year.
The tour will also feature solo sets from special guests Ben Lee in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, Alex Lloyd in Perth, Adelaide and Hobart, and songbird Emily Wurramara in many of the regional and city dates. In a special one-off for Adelaide, Grinspoon's Phil Jamieson will join the bill.
With five straight platinum or gold-selling albums to their name, The Whitlams last studio album, the gold-certified 'Little Cloud', was released in 2006.
