After postponing his tour originally slated for November last year, Canadian record-breaking singer, songwriter and producer The Weeknd has extended his ‘After Hours Til Dawn’ tour to include Australia in 2024.
The new dates will kick off in October, marking The Weeknd’s debut stadium performances in Australia and his first return to the region since 2017. Mike Dean, Chxrry22 and Sydney’s Anna Lunoe will support The Weeknd for the Australian leg.
Unfortunately, The Weeknd is unable to head to Brisbane as originally planned.
“I feel a strong pull to perform in Australia before moving on to the next chapter and want to make sure you all know I hadn't forgotten about you,” The Weeknd says. “When I return now, it will be the right time, and I promise it will be such a special experience. I can’t wait to see you all!”
The record-breaking ‘After Hours Til Dawn’ 2022/23 tour saw massive success across North America, Europe, the UK and Latin America. The Weeknd enjoyed more than 60 sold-out stadium dates, and more than 3 million attendees. The tour also broke attendance records at multiple venues.
The Weeknd is one of the world’s most listened-to artists on Spotify, with more than 104.4 million monthly listeners. In 2023, the Guinness Book Of World Records named him ‘The Most Popular Artist In The World’.
His album ‘After Hours’ is the most streamed R&B album of all time. . . And coming in at second is The Weeknd with ‘Starboy’.
Tickets are on sale 26 August.
