It's one of Australia's most iconic anthems – 'Never Tear Us Apart'; and The Teskey Brothers have given the INXS classic (dedicated to Michael Gudinski) their own alt. country, soul treatment.
First performing their rendition as part of their 2020 ARIA Awards performance, following up for ABC TV's 2020 New Years Eve telecast, The Teskey Brothers decided to get together in the studio and record their reimagined version."This is an all-time classic Australian song that all of us love. It's a pleasure to sing it and I don't know why we didn't do it earlier," Josh Teskey says.
"We're very proud to dedicate this release to our friend Michael Gudinski who was a huge supporter of Australian music and The Teskey Brothers. Our two worlds collided and we will always be grateful for that."
The Teskey Brothers will perform a special, one-off headline show at Forum Melbourne 21 April, with tickets on sale from Tuesday.
