The Temper Trap

Indie stalwarts The Temper Trap continue their resurgence, with the Melbourne band to tour nationally this spring.

After revealing their first new album in a decade earlier this month – 'Sungazer' that drops 10 July (pre-order it) – alongside North American summer dates with Muse, The Temper Trap will headline concerts in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Sydney and Perth this September-October.

The Brisbane and Sydney dates align to Night At The Parkland and Night At The Barracks 2026 line-ups respectively (stay tuned for more details about each programme).

"Australia, can't wait to see you soon," posted the band, who recently returned to international television performing new song 'Giving Up Air' on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'.

"With time apart and much personal growth from us all, 'Sungazer' feels like it's captured the most pure collection of music we've ever made," The Temper Trap says.

"We had more fun making this record and in the writing room than on any of the previous records we've done. We're in a great place creatively and in our friendships, we're closer than ever. Being back into the studio together really felt like coming home."

The band have teased 'Sungazer' with previous album singles 'Lucky Dimes', 'Giving Up Air', 'Into The Wild' and most recently the title track.

"'Sungazer' is a song I wrote as a declaration to my little boy Ziggy before he was born. The lyrics are a promise to him, to be with him throughout his life," frontman Dougy Mandagi says.

Tickets on sale from 11am (local time) on 17 April.
