Canadian rock band The Tea Party will tour Australia in 2026.
Led by frontman Jeff Martin – who calls Australia home these days – this run of five shows (a new live musical presentation themed around 'elements') will see the band honour their 35th anniversary with a greatest hits set in February.
Fans in Wollongong, Brisbane and Adelaide will see the band perform as their traditional rock three-piece aligned around the element of fire.
The concerts in Melbourne and Sydney will see the trio of Jeff Martin, Stuart Chatwood and Jeff Burrows perform symphony concerts, joined by a 50-piece orchestra (conducted by Sarah-Grace Williams) themed around wind.
Orchestra Victoria will join the band in Melbourne, while The Metropolitan Orchestra will do the honours in Sydney with The Tea Party making their live debut at the famed Opera House.
With eight studio albums to their name, The Tea Party's hits include 'Heaven Coming Down', 'Temptation', 'The River', 'The Messenger', 'The Bazaar', Psychopomp', 'Fire In The Head' and 'Winter Solstice'.
Since releasing its major-label debut album 'Splendor Solis' in 1993, The Tea Party has come to be regarded as one of the world's most innovative rock bands, with a sound that incorporates everything from traditional instrumentation from around the world, to cutting-edge digital technology.
