South Coast NSW musician Corey Legge is about to embark on his first solo adventure with the release on Monday (19 February) of his debut solo album ‘Driving Out Of Eden’.
This record is a departure from bluesy grit of Corey's band, The Swamp Stompers with his songwriting influenced by artists he grew up listening to like James Taylor, City & Colour, Passenger and Bernard Fanning.
Rich in storytelling tradition and heavily inspired by traditional Celtic folk music throughout, 'Driving Out Of Eden' succeeds as a melting pot of old-school charm and modern-pop sensibility.
"After writing this album for four years, I am absolutely stoked that it is about to see the light of day," enthuses Corey.
"I was very fortunate to receive a prestigious Young Regional Artist Scholarship from CreateNSW and funding from the Yuin Folk Club to make my dream of recording overseas a reality.
"I took some big risks with this album, and I believe that I have produced my best work to date as a result."
To promote the new release, Corey will be touring east-coast Australia throughout March.
