The Streets

UK garage-grime icon The Streets is headed back to Australia in 2026 to perform his sophomore album 'A Grand Don't Come For Free' in full for the very first time.

The moniker of boisterous rapper Mike Skinner, the tour lands next March with headline concerts in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Fremantle.

The follow-up to The Streets' Mercury Prize-nominated debut album 'Original Pirate Material' (which arrived with the same potency as a Fisherman's Friend in 2002), 'A Grand Don't Come For Free' cemented Skinner as a bona fide voice of his generation.

It debuted at #1 on the UK charts, delivered era-defining singles including 'Dry Your Eyes', 'Fit But You Know It' and 'Blinded By The Lights'. "I spent a year in Australia when The Streets was just an idea rattling around in my head, before any of it made sense," Mike says.

"Late nights that turned into mornings, hostels full of chaos, endless new faces and the kind of unfiltered, straight-forward energy that only exists down under. All of that made its way onto my laptop and into the music that set me off on this journey.

"I've always loved coming back here with the band, it feels like a home away from home – the crowds are bonkers, they give as good as they get, and this is the first time we're bringing 'A Grand Don't Come For Free' to the stage in full. Can't wait to get properly stuck in over in Australia."

By playing 'A Grand Don't Come For Free' in its entirety, fans will experience the full story exactly as it was intended: a cinematic journey through love, loss, chaos, heartbreak and hope, delivered with Skinner's trademark raw honesty and wit.

Tickets on sale from 10am (local time) on 24 October.
