Owners 19 UK Top 40 albums, The Stranglers most recent record was 2021's 'Dark Matters' (which features the playing of keyboardist Dave Greenfield, who died in 2020 from COVID). It charted at #4 on the UK album charts (the band's highest-placed studio album since 'Feline' in 1983)."We are pleased to announce that The Stranglers will be back in Australia in April 2023," shares the band.
"These will be the band's first shows in Australia since Feb 2020. Sadly they turned out to be Dave Greenfield's last gigs before he departed.
"Little did we know, on returning to the UK, what lay in store for us all with COVID. We can't wait to see you all again down under, make up for lost time and remember our Dave."
Promising a set that will be covering tracks from their extensive catalogue spanning over 45 years, fans can expect to hear timeless hits like 'Golden Brown', 'Always The Sun', 'No More Heroes', 'Strange Little Girl' and 'Peaches'. Go see them while you still have the chance.
Tickets on sale from 10am (local time) on 18 October.
