A rock & roll celebration of one the greatest albums of all time, The Stones' Sticky Fingers Tribute Show have added extra dates in Melbourne and Wollongong, with a new allocation of tickets available for the previously sold out Sydney concerts.
After a stellar opening last weekend on the Gold Coast and Brisbane (read our review; 'if you closed your eyes you could easily imagine Mick Jagger and Keith Richards treading the boards'), the quartet of Magic Dirt's Adalita, Grinspoon's Phil Jamieson, The Cruel Sea's Tex Perkins and You Am I's Tim Rogers will again gather in July for shows in Adelaide, Melbourne, Wollongong, Newcastle and Sydney. The concert sees the iconic 1971 album 'Sticky Fingers' (which features such hits as 'Brown Sugar', 'Wild Horses', 'Can't You Hear Me' and 'Dead Flowers') played in full, before a second set featuring a swag of Rolling Stones hits: 'Let's Spend The Night Together', 'Ruby Tuesday', 'Angie', 'Beast Of Burden', 'Can't Always Get', and much more.
Don't sleep on the backing band either, which features guitar virtuoso Jak Housden (The Whitlams, The Badloves, Tim Minchin), Dario Bortolin (Baby Animals) on bass, Hamish Stuart (Ayres Rock, Don Walker) on drums, Clayton Doley (Jimmy Barnes, The Mighty Reapers) on keys and local guitar hero, James Christowski on guitars.
Tickets to the just announced shows in Melbourne and Wollongong go on sale at 10am (local time) on 30 April; the extra Sydney tickets are now available.
