Join Jake and Elwood and their hard-hitting 12-piece big band, complete with horns and the talented trio of back-up singers Sister Soul, Sister Rhythm and Sister Blues as they perform the most authentic Blues Brothers Show in the country.The show pays homage to the music, characters and comedy of cult film 'The Blues Brothers', which has become one of the most well-received comedies of all time.
Greg Hill and Brent Moetara hit the stage playing Jake and Elwood, complete with black hats, suits and sunglasses. Together they produce an energetic performance of dance, laughter and red-hot soul, rhythm and blues.
You'll be singing all-night long to hits including 'Sweet Home Chicago', 'Gimme Some Lovin'', 'Everybody Needs Somebody To Love', 'Jailhouse Rock', 'Think' and of course the theme from 'Rawhide'.
How did the band get together?
Greg returned from his role as Jake at Universal Studios in Japan, and was called upon by an agent to put on an event at Brisbane's Sofitel. He put the call out for some of the most talented musicians in Brisbane, and The Soul Men Tribute to the Blues Brothers was born.

In a word – energy. This is one of the most entertaining shows you'll see. Add the interactive parts of the show where we teach songs and choreography to the audience making everyone there part of the show, it's truly a night to remember.
What sets the show apart?
This is more than a gig – it's a complete entertainment experience. It's a blend of music, dance and comedy theatre, where scripted lines and improvisation blend together to make each show a unique experience.
Who are The Lips, Dark Horse and Double Stretch?
Every member of The Soul Men has a 'Blues name' – the band gives each new member a Blues name when they join. Most members over time earns themselves a new Blues name, which usually relates to an incident that happens on the road, at a show, on the piss or at rehearsal.
Every name has its own unique story! So introducing The Soul Men's horn section Clint 'The Lips' Allen, Nathan 'The Dark Horse' Parker, and Andrew 'Double Stretch' Bell. However, to protect what is left of their reputation, we'll have to leave those stories for another time. . .
The Soul Men Blues Brothers play Logan Entertainment Centre (Brisbane) 31 August. They also play Mitchell Creek Rock 'n' Blues Festival (Sunshine Coast) 14 September and Mo's Desert Clubhouse (Gold Coast) 25 October.
