The Smart’s Top 5 Concertgoer Profiles

The Smart
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Brisbane band The Smart have released a new film clip for their latest single, ‘All Is Well’.

The video features a montage containing rare film footage from Tasmania’s history, including scenes from military parades, Royal visits and family life growing up in rural Tasmania in the early 1900s.

After inheriting films produced by three generations of family members, now stored at the Tasmanian Archives, Sarah Allen – the wife of lead singer Jeremy — created the video piece as a lasting memento for her family, a precious gift for this generation and the next.

‘All Is Well’ is the first single from the new album by The Smart — they’ll be releasing a new song once a month for the remainder of the year, each accompanied by a film clip shot by various artists.

The group’s keyboardist Johny stopped by recently to share his top five concertgoer types.

The Ian Thorpe

He's in the mosh pit, he's out of the mosh pit, he's back in the mosh pit, no wait... He's out of the mosh pit. Is he in or out?

The Snoop Dogg

A strange but familiar smell rises above the stench of sweat in the crowd. You look around and lay eyes on him. "Is that guy...? Is he really lighting that up right in the middle of the pit...?"

The Snookie

She's so orange you can't tell if she's a concertgoer or part of the lighting rig.

The Michael Jackson

How much talcum powder is 'too much'? Oh wait, there's Marilyn Manson... Have these guys ever seen the sunlight?

The Miley Cyrus

Walks into the mosh pit dressed like a Disney character, walks out dressed like a Lady Gaga film clip.
