The Screaming Jets' Dave Gleeson Locks In Streaming Not Screaming Weekly Residency At The Gov

Streaming Not Screaming with Dave Gleeson and Crafty takes place at The Gov (Adelaide) weekly on Sunday afternoons
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

The past few months during lockdown, The Screaming Jets' Dave Gleeson has been live streaming weekly performances from his remote Adelaide property – Streaming Not Screaming shows.

Now as social distancing restrictions ease, South Australia is one of the first states to return to some sense of normalcy with crowds at live performances.

This has led to Gleeso and local guitarist mate Crafty finding a new home for their Sunday arvo sessions at The Gov, who can host up to 120 responsibly, socially-distanced music fans.

"It all started out as a simple idea to run a stream out of my backyard to keep me busy and out from underneath the family's feet while isolating," Gleeso says.

"Fast forward three-plus months and now I've got my own show at The Gov. . . living the dream it would seem."

The weekly set list not only encompasses the classics from The Screaming Trees and The Angels' back catalogues, but Gleeso and Crafty also showcase a few covers from the likes of Chuck Berry, Guns N Roses, The Beatles, Australian Crawl, The Doors and Queen; maybe even Johnny Cash or Kris Kristofferson.

Streaming Not Screaming with Dave Gleeson and Crafty takes place at The Gov (Adelaide) weekly on Sunday afternoons (from 2.30pm).
