British '80s power-pop, new wave act, The Primitives will tour Australia for the very first time in 2024.
Best know for their 1988 hit 'Crash', the current line-up features original members Tracy Tracy (vocals), Paul Court (guitar, vocals) and Tig Williams (drums) who will perform shows in Brisbane and Melbourne."We are pleased to announce that the first ever Primitives Australian shows will be happening next March. Tickets on sale very soon."
The Primitives will celebrate the 35th anniversary of their debut album, 'Lovely', by playing it in its entirety, alongside a second set of curated hits.
The band would release two more albums, 'Pure' and 'Galore', touring Europe and the US extensively before the band called it a day in 1992.
It would be close to 20 years until the group reconvened after the death of original bass player Steve Dullaghan in 2009 playing a home-town show in Coventry before a secret London gig reignited the creative juices.
The Primitives released the 'Never Kill A Secret' EP in 2011, featuring two new originals; this would lead to the band's 2014 album 'Spin-O-Rama' that earned the group universal acclaim. Their most recent EP release was 2017's 'New Thrills' that features the cuts 'I'll Trust The Wind' and 'Oh Honey Sweet'.
Last year, they released the limited edition single 'Don't Know Where To Start' that was followed by a digital-only single 'I Won't Care' in May this year.
Tickets on sale from 9am EDT on 23 November.
