Melbourne's progressive rock-djent-funk instrumental band The Omnific will warm-up for their massive European tour with an east-coast run of live dates before showcasing at BIGSOUND.
The trio featuring bassists Matt Fack and Toby Peterson-Stewart backed by drummer Jerome Lematua (yes, you read correctly – zero guitarists) have already toured Europe-UK earlier this year as well as supporting Polyphia on their sold-out Australian tour.Set to play German festivals Reeperbahn and Euroblast on the upcoming run of shows (with more international dates simmering in the background), The Omnific are also gearing up for the release of their new single 'Phat Mackerel' (17 August), their first new music since 2021 album 'Escapades'.
"In celebration of our new single 'Phat Mackerel', we're hitting up the east coast of Australia! Joining the fun will be guitar prodigy and our prog brother Keyan.
"We'll [also] be seeing you at BIGSOUND this year!"
Be prepared to be enveloped in a 'lush tapestry of atmospheric brilliance, weaving together swirling textures, pulsating syncopation, euphoric highs, and melancholic lows'.
Tickets are on sale.
