Punk rock legends, The Offspring return to Australia in 2025 and they're bringing Simple Plan with them.
After playing a one-off Melbourne show last night as part of Always Live (which sold out in 30 seconds), and last touring nationally in 2022, The Offspring bring their Supercharged world tour to Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane next May.Released last month, 'Supercharged' is the 11th studio album from Californian natives featuring the cuts 'Make It All Right' and 'Light It Up'; it's also the first Offspring album to feature bassist Todd Morse as an official band member (after joining the band in 2019) and the group's first album to feature multi-instrumentalist Jonah Nimoy and drummer Brandon Pertzborn, marking it the first record with the band as a five-piece.
The Offspring have also joined the Spotify Billions Club twice this year, firstly with 'You're Gonna Go Far, Kid' (from 2008's 'Rise And Fall, Rage And Grace') and last week with 'The Kids Aren't Alright' (off 1998's 'Americana').
The Australian tour will see Dexter Holland, Noodles and rest of the band perform a best of set jammed to the brim with a mountain of hits including such fabled punk-rock gems as 'Self Esteem', 'Pretty Fly (For A White Guy)', 'Want You Bad', 'Come Out And Play', 'Hit That' and 'Staring At The Sun'.
Canadian band Simple Plan remain legendary figures of the pop-punk scene, firstly dominating the MTV era before a resurgence with the next-gen after going TikTok viral.
Only just in Australia this past April on their own sold-out tour – read our Brisbane live review – Simple Plan bring their own set loaded with classics including 'I'm Just A Kid', 'Welcome To My Life', 'Perfect', 'Summer Paradise', 'Jet Lag', 'Addicted', 'I'd Do Anything' and 'Shut Up!'.
