Fresh from completing his second European tour of 2023, acclaimed British musician Paul Weller returns to Australia for a special run of shows at Sydney Opera House next February.
A musician who first found fame as frontman for new wave, mod revivalists The Jam (gaining the nickname The Modfather) in the '70s before the '80s blue-eyed soul offshoot The Style Council, Weller has released 16 solo albums since his 1992 self-titled record.A mainstay of the Britpop movement, Paul's style incorporates rock, folk, soul, and R&B. To date he has notched up an astonishing 57 Top 40 hit singles, including 4 #1s.
His discography includes such classics as 'Town Called Malice', 'That's Entertainment', and 'Going Underground' (The Jam); 'Shout To The Top', and 'You're The Best Thing' (The Style Council); 'You Do Something To Me', 'Wild Wood', and 'Broken Stones'.
"So looking forward to performing at the Sydney Opera House again, we've always loved the audiences there and it's a total privilege for us all," Paul says.
