After a five year absence, indie-rock band The Kooks are set to return to South Australia. The group will headline Beach Life Festival and kick off the New Years Eve weekend in style.

Heading down under in support of their fifth studio album 'Let's Go Sunshine', The Kooks have been on a steady climb since the release of their five times platinum debut record 'Inside In/Inside Out'. The group have experienced a collection of sold-out world tours in their time, coupled with more than one billion streams online.

The English band are set to tour across the U.S this November before embarking to Oz for shows in Sydney, Perth, Victoria and Adelaide, before heading off for a string of shows in Europe.

Alongside The Kooks in Adelaide will be Winston Surfshirt. The six-piece band have played massive festivals such as Splendour In The Grass and have supported the Aussie rock band Midnight Oil. Brisbane's Last Dinosaurs will also be in attendance, hot off the release of their third studio album 'Yumeno Garden', alongside homegrown Adelaide musician, MANE.

The Kooks will be partying on the foreshore of Jimmy Melrose Park in Glenelg on 28 December. They're also playing Lost Paradise (Sydney 28 December-1 January), Origin Fields (Perth 30 December) and Beyond The Valley (Victoria 31 December).
