A staple of regional Australia for close on two decades, travelling music festival Groovin The Moo (GTM) is back in 2024 arriving late April, early May.

Once more set to taking in six stops around the country, including a new location for NSW, the first weekend will see Adelaide, Canberra and Bendigo host the mooosic.

The following weekend, GTM will land in Newcastle for the very first time at the gorgeous Foreshore Park next to the ocean before heading north to Sunshine Coast and a new, more spacious and central venue – Sunshine Coast Stadium Precinct. The GTM action then wraps up out west one week later at Bunbury in WA's south-west.

The 2024 line-up has just dropped and it's loaded to overflowing with international arrivals led by British post-punk indie rockers The Kooks ('Naive', 'She Moves In Her Own Way').

They'll be joined by Canadian R&B-pop 'Figures' artist Jessie Reyez (who has collaborated with Sam Smith, Emimen, Dua Lupa, Calvin Harris), Italian house, electronic trio MEDUZA ('Piece Of Your Heart', 'Lose Control') and Sporty Spice Melanie C drops in for a special DJ set.

Then there's the old-school flavoured blue-eyed soul of American swooner Stephen Sanchez ('Until I Found You', 'Evangeline'), and Guernsey-born electronic music producer and songwriter of 'Love$ick' and 'Firefly' Mura Masa (DJ set).

Hip hop royalty will arrive at GTM 2024 when Wu-Tang legend GZA ('Shawdowboxin', 'Liquid Swords') takes the stage with his live band The Phunky Nomads, the Genius joined on the bill by American rapper and Def Jam alumni Armani White ('Billie Eilish.', 'Baazinger').

There are also a number of TikTok sensations headed to GTM 2024 with Canadian indie dance rockers The Beaches ('Blame Brett'), Californian bedroom pop singer-songwriter Claire Rosinkranz ('Backyard Boy'), and drum n bass, electro-pop artist and Coachella-bound Kenya Grace ('Strangers').

"Australia! I don't wanna see any spiders, just ur beautiful faces! It's unbelievable where this lil band has taken us – Groovin The Moo see you this April, May," shares The Beaches.

Though that's just the start of the music feast, with GTM organisers packing the 2024 hamper with the freshest national talent including electronic artist Alison Wonderland ('I Want U', 'Anything'), Brit-pop indie rockers DMA'S ('Delete', 'Silver'), perennial party starter Hot Dub Time Machine, old-school rockers Jet ('Are You Gonna Be My Girl'), and indie charmers The Jungle Giants ('Used To Be In Love') and San Cisco ('Too Much Time Together', 'Awkward').

"Absolutely stoked to announce: I'm playing Groovin The Moo 2024 all over Australia! This is one of my absolute favourite festivals and I'm going to bring a huuuuuuge show. Can't wait," posted Hot Dub Time Machine.

Adds Alison Wonderland: "Currently in the car and brought some Milo with me to announce that I will finally be BACK IN AUSTRALIA for Groovin The Moo. Ok back to the studio." While San Cisco are pumped. "We are very excited about this one! One of our favourite Australian tours to be a part of."

The next crop of emerging Aussie legends will also get their Groovin on including garage rockers The Grogans, 2022 triple j Unearthed High Winner Jacoténe, 'Milkumana' and 'Get Me Out' surf-rockers King Stingray, 'Groceries' and 'Wish On An Eyelash' indie songwiter-producer Mallrat, Brisbane rapper-producer Nerve (with friends ECB & Cloe Terare) and Northern Beaches indie rockers The Rions ('Night Light') - "It's time to groove," the band says.

GTM is not just about the music, it's also about the road trip and the destination. "Our hot tip is to take your time and enjoy multiple pit stops on the way to your Moo," shares event organisers.

"Then stay to explore the region to discover all the unique offerings of the area, from coffee carts to craft markets, fresh farm produce to vintage finds and everything in between.

"There'll be heaps more news coming soon, including our Fresh Produce artists, Community programme and details of how you can get involved with our Shoot the Moo and TikTok the Moo competitions.

"Plus, enter our Ultimate Udder Mayhem Competition, where you could win Udder Mayhem tickets for you and five mates, a backstage tour with bonus lunch, a festival photo shoot, merch and a bar tab. Yes please!"
