The Jungle Giants Australia 2025 Tour

Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Australian indie powerhouse The Jungle Giants are back with new music and a national tour.

More than a year since they last dropped original music, 'Hold My Hand' is a song born from frontman Sam Hales' recent jet-ski accident (requiring two months of recovery) alongside the break-up of his decade-long relationship.

With a creative desire to mould a song 'to feel like a collage of sounds', 'Hold My Hand' features layers of live orchestra instrumentation igniting the senses.

"These are all beautiful, beautiful, positive memories that changed me for the better," shares Sam. "It was just really hard to figure out a way to write about it and figure out a way to define how I felt.

"This song really helped open up a lot of the writing for the album. All the songs I wrote before weren't feeling real enough. Once I landed on 'Hold My Hand', a lot of things fell into place for me. I had this real emotional reaction to it."

'Hold My Hand' is the foundational taste of the group's upcoming fifth album, the follow-up to the band 2021's #1 ARIA chart-topping album 'Love Signs'. "Things have changed, but there's beauty to all this," adds Sam.

"I would not do anything differently. This is really important to me as an artist, really important to me as a friend, and a lover and everything. 'Hold My Hand' really captures the feeling of ten years with someone, and watching the love just evolve."

With more new music on the horizon, The Jungle Giants will embark on their first national run of live shows in two years, with dates in Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne, Frankston, Brisbane and Brunswick Heads (in the Northern Rivers).

This will be the band's only tour of 2025. "Can't wait to see y'all on the road. Tix will go quick baby, don't say we didn't warn ya x," posted the band.

J Award 2024 Australian Album Of The Year winner, Sycco joins the tour for a special DJ set.

Tickets on sale from 10am AEDT on 10 February.
