Synth-pop, new wave legends, The Human League return to Australia in 2024.

One of the first mainstream acts to incorporate computers and sequencers into their music, the Sheffield band comprised of original member Philip Oakey and female vocalists Joanne Catherall and Susan Ann Sulley (who joined the band in 1980) will play concerts in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth next March.

The tour will see The Human League perform their breakthrough 1981 album 'Dare!' in full, the record that saw the group shift from their avant-garde electronic approach to the pop-friendly new wave, synth-pop tones that would see them become a household name.

'Dare!' produced the mega hit 'Don't You Want Me' (the biggest selling UK single of 1981) as well as 'Love Action (I Believe In Love)', 'The Things That Dreams Are Made Of', 'The Sound Of The Crowd' and 'Open Your Heart'.

Originally thinking 'Don't You Want Me' was the weakest song on the album, hence why it features last on the track listing, 'Don't You Want Me' became iconic thanks to a memorable music video and the rising influence of MTV.

The tour will also see The Human League perform their other anthems and classics.

Tickets on sale from 9am (local time) on 25 July.
