The Gum Ball 2023 Line-up

Update - 9 December, 2022: The Gum Ball have added more artists to their 2023 line-up with Something For Kate frontman Paul Dempsey bringing his solo show to the Hunter Valley.

He's joined by Canadian rock band The Sheepdogs, songwriter Ainslie Wills, Brisbane jazz sextet First Beige, old-school psych rockers Datura4, Melbourne punk trio Cable Ties, local legend Ben Leece & Left Of The Dial, smooth epic riffage of Velvet Trip, funky musical prowess from local band Saylor & The Flavor, and ten-piece musical onslaught SPUZ.

Established in 2004, and after a successful return early this year, Hunter Valley music festival The Gum Ball is back in 2023 welcoming an icon of grunge music as headline act.

Seminal Seattle band Mudhoney ('Touch Me I'm Sick', 'Suck You Dry') will grace the stage at Dashville in Lower Bedford joining another 12 acts with more artists to be revealed in the coming months.

Sydney two-piece noise band Party Dozen, Brisbane rockers Full Flower Moon Band (who are supporting The Black Crowes on their national tour next month), '80s punk-rock supergroup The New Christs (led by Rob Younger and featuring members of Radio Birdman, Celibate Rifles and Screening Tribesman) and cherished indie singer-songwriter Darren Hanlon (and band) are also joining the action.



Garage-pop outfit Flowertruck, soul-pop singer WILSN, flower-doom collective Turtle Skull, jangly garage rockers Rum Jungle, and funk-rock groovers Boomchild will also be partying onstage at The Gum Ball in 2023.

Trip Fandino, Tall Shaun & The Resolution Blues, Cormac Grant Band and Daphzie round out the music line-up, with The Gum Ball also offering live art, comedy, pro skateboarding, markets, workshops, camping and more.



In 2023, the festival continues in its purpose to connect community and culture with distinct homage to the traditional owners of the land, the Wonnarua.
