A few weeks ago, we didn't even know Jackass star Bam Margera was in a band. But his Fuckface Unstoppable tour has been making all sorts of headlines, from the time he narrowly avoided a plane crash to the time he was kicked out of a Brisbane hotel under police escort after holding a painting party.
Those are the sorts of headlines Margera no doubt loves seeing his name attached to, but that might not be the case this time. The Grand Scheme — who had been touring as the support band for Margera, until he removed them from the bill — have accused the daredevil of attacking their fans at a show in Brisbane.
Their statement reads as follows:
We The Grand Scheme have been touring as the main support band for the currently still ongoing Bam Margera Fuckface unstoppable tour. Within the tour it has become obvious that their treatment towards us, the people they had hired to promote and organize the tour as well as treatment of the fans has been appalling. Our collaboration with Bam and his crew came to end on 27th of January, when we were scheduled to play yet another "jackass stunt filled" show with Margera.
That night we were pulled out from the shows and the gig went on without us playing the show, and as expected, there were fans at the venue that were oblivious to the cancellation of our participation to the rest of the tour. On the 28th videos of the Tempo 27th of Jan gig were uploaded online, and within these videos you can see Bam and his crew spitting cursing and pouring drinks on The Grand Scheme fans, and after only few minutes later Bam diving in to the crowd with his fists raced up to beat up the fans that came to see us play. Pictures of the 18-year old kids was later on released online showing the full damage of Bams rings filled fists slashing their foreheads open.
So far we have heard this has been the same case on the remaining shows of the tour with Bam verbally and physically abusing the people that had payed to come and see us play as part of the Fuckface unstoppable tour. Following the Australian news it if fairly obvious that Bam has not been courteous to any of the venues or hotels they have been associated with, being kicked off and destroying property. We the grand scheme are utterly disappointed and shocked about the behaviour of Bam and his crew physically attacking our fans and damaging the name of Australian rock scheme for publicly badmouthing us and our followers.
If you can't be bothered wading through the press release, footage of the incident — helpfully labeled 'Bam Margera Punchs Douche' — is online:
