This year's BIGSOUND is bringing the future of Australian music to Brisbane with Sampa the Great, Alex Lahey, Ivan Ooze and Tigertown headlining a massive first line-up announcement of 80+ bands.
The fifteenth anniversary of the festival will also welcome Australian acts: West Thebarton Brothel Party, Gabriella Cohen, Tash Sultana, MOSSY, Olympia, Bec Sandridge, Circles, Gideon Bensen, Good Boy, Sarah Connor, BANFF, Tiny Little Houses, Fascinator, Middle Kids, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever and Mere Women, cementing BIGSOUND’s rise as the Southern Hemisphere’s biggest global music marketplace.

On the international front, visitors will include NAATIONS (US), Fazerdaze (NZ), Groeni (NZ), Prateek Kuhad (India) and Young Tapz (NZ). “Nick [O'Byrne] and I thoroughly reviewed every single act on this line-up so far,” says co-programmer Maggie Collins.
“All the acts make compelling music in their own style and are in a position to use BIGSOUND to make their mark either nationally or globally. What an honour it is to facilitate that process and further strengthen the economy of contemporary Australian music.”
BIGSOUND Festival takes over Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley for three nights 7-9 September and will showcase new Australian talent on the cusp of major international success.
