The Foundry Returns

The Foundry
National Music Editor, based in Brisbane, Australia.
'Passionate about true crime docos, the Swannies, golf and sleep, I’ve been writing about music for 20-plus years. What I’ve learnt? There’s two types of music – good and bad.’

After a world of self-described hurt, a massive setback and a huge construction job, Brisbane live venue/ creative hub The Foundry is back! And we agree with The Foundry's press release… it's downright time for a beer to celebrate!

With the initial launch curtailed by issues only experienced after opening, The Foundry returns, stronger and better than ever for a huge party on Thursday, 20 August. Media and industry will be invited to an exclusive re-launch party with just 100 tickets available to the public, on sale from today. The full line-up for the relaunch will be announced next week.

The Foundry.2
Forging a bold path in the heart of Fortitude Valley, The Foundry is a mammoth (now) three-level complex that is part 300-person live room, part rock & roll bar, part collaborative space and home to a host of creative studios.

The Foundry.3
Briefly opening its doors earlier this year, Brisbane's only live music and industry hub ran into what can only be described as a rather large spot of bother with additional structural works required to solidify the live room. You could call it The Foundry 2.0.
